IN CLARKSDALE, MISSISSIPPI
THANKS TO AUSTIN BRITT FOR DOING THIS AWESOME VIDEO FOR ME ,TO HELP BOOST TOURISM THROUGH ART AND MUSIC !Posted by Stan Street on Sunday, January 11, 2015
In its 10th year, The Hambone Festival is an annual music festival headquartered at Hambone Gallery spilling out into the streets of Clarksdale and into other venues around town every Halloween
--as, among other things, a birthday present from Stan to himself. Genres of music represented are primarily roots, blues, folk and Americana but a wide swath of these turn up and sometimes others!
As Stan's extended family of musicians and artists continues to grow --and the enthusiasm of past attendees spreads by word of mouth-- the event draws increasingly larger crowds who enjoy several days of music and merriment culminating with a special night of performances at Juke Joint Chapel. On the final morning, festival goers bid each other farewell and officially wind down the event with a customary bloody mary brunch back at Hambone Gallery.
Costumes are optional but strongly encouraged.
